On July 22, the 16th China (Jinan) International Tea Industry Expo and the 10th Tea Culture Festival grandly opened at the Jinan First Tea Market. Supported by the Jinan Municipal People’s Government and hosted by the China Tea Circulation Association, the expo highlighted Shandong’s prominence as northern China’s leading tea distribution corridor.
Shandong province consistently ranks as the second-largest per-capita tea consuming region in China, boasting an enthusiastic consumer base with a deep affinity for fragrant greens, aged oolongs, and cellared Pu-erh. The exhibition featured hundreds of regional tea brands, master potters, and tea scholars, conducting public tasting forums and business matching seminars.
The vibrancy of the Jinan Expo reaffirms northern China’s expanding appetite for premium artisanal teas, demonstrating robust trade connections between southern agricultural terroirs and northern urban consumption centers.
