On November 14, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism issued the Announcement on Confirming 53 Units Including Beijing’s 751 Park as National Industrial Tourism Demonstration Bases. In accordance with the industry standard Specification and Evaluation of National Industrial Tourism Demonstration Bases, on the recommendation of the culture and tourism administrative departments of the relevant provinces (regions and municipalities), and after expert review organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism with due process and public notice, 53 units were confirmed as national industrial tourism demonstration bases, among them the Yangloudong Tea Culture Ecological Industry Park in Hubei Province and the Xiaguan Tuocha Industrial Tourism Area in Yunnan Province.
The tourism industry standard LB/T 067-2017, Specification and Evaluation of National Industrial Tourism Demonstration Bases, defines industrial tourism as tourism centered on operating factories, enterprises and engineering works as its main attractions, with activities such as visits, tours, hands-on experiences and shopping. A national industrial tourism demonstration base is one that provides tourism facilities and services of a high standard, represents the highest level of industrial tourism development in the country, and plays a strong demonstrative and leading role in national industrial tourism development.
It is reported that this announcement covers the second batch of national industrial tourism demonstration bases. As early as 2017, the former National Tourism Administration launched the first batch of 10 national industrial tourism demonstration bases, among which Yunnan’s Tasly Di Pu Er Bio-Tea Valley was selected.

Yangloudong Tea Culture Ecological Industry Park, Hubei Province
The Yangloudong Tea Ecological Culture Industry Park. Photo: Developed against the natural tea-garden landscape and the cultural systems of Han culture, the Three Kingdoms’ Red Cliffs, the Yangloudong Tea Horse Road, and tea-park tourism, the park has been built into a modern tea culture industry park integrating “growing, making, tasting, appreciating and buying tea.” It is a “national rural tourism maker demonstration base,” a “national key leading enterprise in agricultural industrialization,” and a “national AAA-level tourist attraction.” The park actively develops new industrial study-tour products: its tea-picking experiences, tea-firing and tea art programs are rich and fun, and its tea-science study courses for school students are highly interactive. Its range of tea products and cultural-creative goods, along with its original smart milk-tea machine, have won visitors’ praise and approval. In recent years, the park—combining “industry” and “tourism”—has become a city calling card of Chibi, drawing more and more visitors to Chibi to experience tea culture, taste green brick tea, and buy tea gifts.
Xiaguan Tuocha Industrial Tourism Area, Yunnan Province
