The great transformations of the new era’s decade are of milestone significance.
The report to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China called for comprehensively advancing rural revitalization, prioritizing the development of agriculture and rural areas, consolidating and expanding the achievements of poverty alleviation, accelerating the building of a strong agricultural country, and solidly promoting the revitalization of rural industries, talent, culture, ecology, and organization.
Over the past decade, Yunnan’s tea industry has ridden the momentum, seized development opportunities, and achieved the goal of an output value exceeding 100 billion yuan. Under Yunnan Province’s 14th Five-Year plan to build a “green food brand,” by 2025 the comprehensive output value of Yunnan’s tea industry will reach 200 billion yuan, and Yunnan will become the world capital of Pu’er tea, the world’s largest center of tea tree germplasm resources, China’s number-one province for organic tea, and a demonstration zone for integrating ethnic ecological tea and tourism.
The ancient tea mountains are also destined to burst forth with even more colorful vitality, and countless tea farmers will benefit from this, reaping prosperity, health, and a more secure future.
