Celebrating the 27th Anniversary of Hong Kong's Handover, Savouring Yunnan Banzhang Ancient Tree Puerh Ripe Tea's Interaction with History

With the arrival of 1 July 2024, we are celebrating the 27th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the Motherland and the establishment of the SAR Government. On this memorable day, I would like to share with you a special tea - Yunnan Banzhang Ancient Tree Puerh Ripe Tea. This tea not only represents the tea culture of China, but is also closely related to the glorious history of Hong Kong's return to the Motherland, bringing us a journey of tea and history.

This Pu-erh ripe tea is made from the raw materials of over 300 years old trees in 1997. This year was the historic moment of Hong Kong's return to the motherland. After 10 years of aging, the tea leaves were pressed into tea cakes on 29th July 2014, which seems to be a silent witness to the growth of Hong Kong and the Motherland. Each piece of tea leaf contains the precipitation of time and the essence of nature, and every sip of tea soup can make you feel the flavour of time and the weight of history.
A round disc of dark, compressed tea leaves from Zen Tea Master's 1997 Banzhang Ancient Tree Puerh Ripe Tea, wrapped partially in tan paper, with a small red and white label centrally placed on top.
The tea leaves are sourced from the Banzhang Ancient Tea Plantation: Iwakanxiang. This ancient tea plantation has witnessed the hard work and wisdom of countless generations of tea farmers. Each tea tree in the tea plantation is like a witness to history, recording the flow of time and cultural changes.

The production unit is one of Hong Kong's top ten tea houses, "Yishui Moxiang", which is co-produced by Hong Kong's senior tea veteran, Cheung Wai-yuen. With their rich experience and exquisite skills, they have enhanced the quality and flavour of this tea to the extreme. Each cake of tea is a reflection of the craftsmen's dedication and insistence on quality, as well as an expression of their deep affection for Hong Kong and the Motherland.

This tea is limited to 988 cakes worldwide, and each cake is a unique treasure. Each cake represents a respect for history and cultural heritage. During the tea tasting process, we seem to be able to travel through time and space and have a dialogue with the ancients, experiencing the profoundness of tea culture and the richness of history.

On the day of celebrating the 27th anniversary of Hong Kong's handover, let's savour this Yunnan Banzhang Ancient Tree Puerh Ripe Tea together. It is not only a tea, but also a kind of emotional trust and historical testimony. Every sip of the tea seems to bring us back to that exciting moment, feeling the joy and pride of Hong Kong's return to the motherland. In the process of tasting tea, we can feel the tea culture of China, the deep friendship between Hong Kong and the Motherland, and the beauty of the blend of tea and history.

May this Yunnan Banzhang Ancient Tree Pu-erh Ripe Tea accompany us through every beautiful moment and witness the glorious journey of Hong Kong's joint development with the Motherland. Let's cheer for the future of Hong Kong and work hard for the prosperity and strength of our motherland!
