Recently, the tea sample judging stage of the autumn season of the 12th “China Tea Cup” International Dingcheng Tea King Competition was held simultaneously in Nanning, Guangxi and Kunming, Yunnan. The “China Tea Cup” International Dingcheng Tea King Competition takes place twice a year, in spring and autumn: the spring session emphasizes green and black teas, while the autumn session emphasizes pu-erh tea and more.
As with the spring session, this competition received technical guidance from the China Tea Science Society, and was hosted by the Tea Research Institute of the Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Tea Research Institute of the Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Tea Research Institute of the Sichuan Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Shenzhen Tea Culture Promotion Association, and Shenzhen Huajuchen International Exhibition Group Co., Ltd.<\/p>\n

The judging panel was composed of authoritative industry experts from across the country, each skilled in different tea categories, drawn from the expert pool of the China Tea Science Society. Strictly following national standard GB\/T 23776-2018, Methodology for Sensory Evaluation of Tea, the judges professionally assessed each entry on strips and shape, color, evenness and cleanliness, aroma, liquor color, taste, and infused leaf.<\/p>\n

It is understood that the “China Tea Cup” is China’s longest-running and most credible premium tea appraisal brand, hailed as the “Oscar of the Chinese tea world”; the “Dingcheng Tea King Competition” began in 2010 and is the tea industry’s most authoritative, professional and high-specification contest, built on the Huajuchen Group’s platform strength. The powerful combination of the “China Tea Cup” and the “Dingcheng Tea King Competition” leads the industry with quality benchmarks, creating the year’s grand tea appraisal event and promoting the high-quality development of the tea industry.<\/p>\n

This session continued to uphold the principles of “fairness, justice, science and rigor,” pooling the authority of the industry with a professional competition process, to appraise and judge tea samples submitted by more than 500 tea enterprises nationwide (green, black, white, yellow, oolong, dark and pu-erh teas, reprocessed teas, tea products, specialty teas and other types).
