It seems that amid the tea aroma, one can travel through words to the Pu’er tea regions a thousand miles away, and reunite once more with the fresh fragrance given off by those tender leaves and buds.
Drink good tea, read good books; love drinking tea, love reading books \u2014 to enjoy drinking tea while also understanding its mysteries, is that not wonderful!
If you were asked to recommend one book that a tea person must read in their lifetime, which would you recommend?
@Fujian Provincial Library: “Da Guan Cha Lun” (Treatise on Tea from the Daguan Era) is a monograph on tea written by Emperor Huizong of Song, Zhao Ji. The world of Song Dynasty tea books and tea masters was exquisite and meticulous beyond compare. Perhaps precisely because of this, it headed down the road from zenith to decline; yet from these tea books we can see that the people of the Song created a complex and magnificent world of tea.
@Huanxi Chacha: In 780, Lu Yu wrote “The Classic of Tea” (Cha Jing), a landmark in the formation of Tang Dynasty tea culture \u2014 and of yellow tea. It summarizes the dual content of tea in the natural and humanistic sciences, explores the art of tea drinking, integrates the three teachings of Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism into tea drinking, and pioneered the spirit of the Chinese tea ceremony.
@Luo Longxin: The book “The Imperial Tea Garden: A History of Tea in India” was once again rated by the media as one of the “Top Ten Tea Books Most Worth Reading in 2020”. From more than 200 tea-culture books published in 2020, based on a comprehensive assessment of three aspects \u2014 content, sales and binding design \u2014 ten original, first-edition, high-quality tea books were selected and recommended for everyone to read.
